The soul behind Soul to Stone
Hi, I'm Michelle
Soul to Stone grew from my love of beautiful stones, meaningful jewellery, and the little things that connect us to the people, places and moments we hold close.
Every bracelet is handmade by me, with each combination of stones and charms chosen to tell its own little story.
Soul to Stone began during a time of change in my own life. I found myself drawn more and more to the things that made me feel grounded and connected - the sea, nature, beautiful stones, and jewellery that held a meaning beyond simply looking lovely.
What started as something I enjoyed creating for myself gradually became an idea for something more: a collection of bracelets that could hold a little piece of meaning for the person wearing them.
I’ve always been someone who finds meaning in the little things - a walk by the sea, a beautiful stone picked up and kept, a song that brings someone to mind, or those little signs that seem to appear just when you need them. Soul to Stone is my way of bringing some of that meaning into something you can wear and keep close.
Made by hand, with meaning
Every piece is made by hand at my little workspace, surrounded by the stones, colours and charms that inspire me. I love taking the time to choose each combination and watching a bracelet come together, knowing it will eventually find its way to the person it was meant for.
The ones we carry with us
I’ve always loved the idea that when our loved ones leave this world, we carry a little piece of them with us - their love, the memories we shared with them, and the parts of them that helped shape who we are.
My dad and my beloved Teddy, my little four-legged companion, are two of the souls I carry with me. Losing them changed me, but they also became part of the story behind Soul to Stone, and especially the Always With You collection.
There’s a poem I’ve loved for many years, i carry your heart with me by E. E. Cummings. Its sentiment has always stayed with me - the idea that somehow, we carry the hearts of those we love within our own.
I like to think that one of the loveliest ways we can honour our loved ones is to be the things we loved most about them - to carry their kindness, their humour, their warmth and their love forward in the way we live.
They may no longer be beside us, but the love remains. We carry them in memories, in little signs and reminders, in the things they taught us, and in the pieces of them that live on through us.
That belief sits at the heart of Always With You - pieces created to represent the people, animals and memories we carry with us, wherever we go.
